For this edition of the Business Ideas event in Sion, we are proud to welcome Chloé Albietz, CEO and co-founder of Bioscibex, a Valais-based startup developing an innovative single-use bioreactor that simplifies and reduces the cost of biologics development and production. By cutting the manufacturing process from seven steps to just two, Bioscibex’s ambition is to revolutionize cell culture operations and contribute to making life-saving therapies more accessible to patients worldwide. Chloé holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering and biotechnology from EPF and she completed her master thesis at Cornell University. Before launching Bioscibex, Chloé built her career at major companies like Givaudan and Procter & Gamble, taking on roles in operations and product management. Her diverse experience has equipped her with the scientific and leadership skills to drive meaningful innovation through entrepreneurship.
Paulo Refinetti is the founder and CEO of REM Analytics, a company pioneering advanced DNA analysis technologies. He earned his PhD in Bioengineering and Applied statistics through a joint collaboration between the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Under his leadership, REM Analytics has developed a unique analytical platform that provides powerful tools for microbiome profiling, food authenticity verification, and food safety assessment.
