Innosuisse is the Confederation's innovation agency which promotes science-based innovation in the interests of industry and society in all disciplines. Therefore, it created the Innosuisse Start-up Training to help you develop your business idea, set up your company and implement a strategy for growth. To bring this initiative to life, Innosuisse has partnered with Venturelab, tasking us with the execution of training in cities all over Switzerland.

The Innosuisse Start-up Training is tailored to cater to a range of specific needs, encompassing key sectors such as ICT, Biotech, Medtech, and Advanced Engineering. These courses are free-of-charge and thoughtfully organized into two distinct modules:

  • The Business Creation, a 5-day intensive training session crafted for aspiring entrepreneurs. It equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to transform their innovative ideas into thriving businesses.

  • The Business Growth, a 5-day intensive training program strategically designed to nurture business expansion. During this phase, attendees gain access to best practices for refining their pitching techniques.

We asked Tobias Nägeli, CEO of Tinamu Labs, to share with us his experience as a participant in both the Business Creation and Business Growth Innosuisse Engineering modules. In the following years, Tinamu Labs won Venture Kick Stage 2, participated in Venture Leaders Technology in Silicon Valley, and was ranked among the 100 most promising startups for two consecutive times.

Hi, Tobias! How did you first hear about Innosuisse Business Creation Engineering and Business Growth Engineering, and what motivated you to apply for them?
I was contacted by email regarding the program. As it was split into several days and perfectly addressed our current challenges, I decided to apply for the program.

Can you tell us how the matching process with the Innosuisse trainers was carried out?
After the training day and Talk of Denis Libouton, I direly asked him if he would be available for a coaching session about Marketing and Sales tactics. As he was personally very interested in what our company is doing, he agreed, and we had a great coaching session. One year later, Denis joined Tinamu and is now our Commercial Lead.

What were some of the key areas in which your team received guidance and insights from the Innosuisse trainer?
Sales, marketing tactics, and pricing were the topics from which we benefited the most.

What would be the main benefits that other companies can expect to gain from participating?
Besides the transferred knowledge from the trainers, the networking part is also very important. You get to know many people from other companies in different stages. This is also a very important aspect of the program.

Apply now for the upcoming Innosuisse Start-up Training and reserve a spot for your gateway to innovation and success.
